Help Us Provide "Above and Beyond" Educational Experiences!

A CEF grant was the way Yolanda Wisher, former Philadelphia Poet Laureate, spent some time with William Tennent High School students. Yolanda engaged students in considering how they can serve as "artrepreneurs," and use poetry as public art. Yolanda performed her poems, had students create their own paint chip list poems, and held a share-out with their work. In her short workshop with students she challenged and tapped into their innovative mindsets and creative process. Yolanda shared her Gram's advice, "You have a gift. Use it." Hopefully, it is with this message that students will go out into the world, and embrace this mindset.
