The Apollo 11 launched from Earth on July 16, 1969 at 9:32 AM EST and landed on the moon on July 20, 1969 at 3:17 PM EST. At 10:56 PM EDT on July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong was the first man to step foot on the moon reciting the ever famous quote: “That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” This was the moment that the United States of America fully declared its dominance in winning the space race against Russia.

On July 20, 2019 the students of William Tennent High School will partner with The Fuge to host a commemorative event at the Johnsville Centrifuge to recognize the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission. The event is solely student-driven and is directed by a leadership team of five students.

Become part of our journey and join us in making the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission a memorable event.

Spend a day of fun with us. There will be food trucks, games, exhibits, and entertainment.
